Peer Corps

We had the amazing Daphne Logan speak to both parents and students about Peer Corps.  Here is some information she wrote up for us as a reference:

Hi, I’m Daphne Logan and I’m a mentor at PeerCorps Detroit! PeerCorps Detroit is a program that offers a meaningful, fun, and relatable service project for students approaching their bar or bat mitzvah. Students from Adat Shalom will be able to work with me at the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue on Wednesdays from 4pm-6pm for a period of three months during this school year. Participants will be able to sign up for one three-month cycle of working with the Synagogue. I can guarantee that this is going to be an absolutely phenomenal experience for everyone who is a part of it! If you want to find out more or have any questions about what PeerCorps is like, always feel more than welcome to contact our supervisor, Nora Feldhusen, or me.
