Jewish Communities Around the World

On Wednesday, students in Kitah Zayin gave 3-5 minute presentations on a foreign Jewish community. They were tasked to learn about the basic history, demographics, and cultural traditions unique to their chosen Jewish community. Some groups shared videos of celebrations while others told the class about culinary traditions. The students learned a lot of new information and showed so much pride in sharing their knowledge with the class.

Tikkun Olam and Kehilah Kedoshah

Hi all! We spent a wonderful class researching various charitable organizations within our own community and within our country. Everyone researched a different organization and wrote about how that organization helps our community. People were learning about new organizations and also learning more about an organization they have worked with or will be working with for their b'nai mitzvot. I took the responses everyone submitted and created this wonderful Wordle about how organizations are helping our community. Take a look: Wordle: Tikkun Olam/Kehilah Kedoshah
